about PMD 85

PMD 85 (Personal Microcomputer with Display) was a 8-bit personal computer produced in 80th's of 20th centrury in former Czechoslovakia. Prototype was developed and first version PMD 85-1 was produced in Tesla Piešťany headed by author Ing. Roman Kišš. Later was production moved to Tesla Bratislava, where was computer innovated and new versions PMD 85-2, PMD 85-2A and PMD 85-3 was produced.

Except basic Tesla PMD 85 were produced also computers compatible with PMD 85 in this era. In co-opt Didaktik Skalica it was produced computers Didaktik Alfa, Didaktik Alfa 2 and Didaktik Beta. In co-opt Štátny majetok Závadka nad Hronom it was produced MAŤO microcomputer, too. Also Zbrojovka Brno factory was produced in the late of 80th's of 20th century very handy computer Consul 2717, entitled "Zbrojováček", too.
